If you’re like me, you have a Pinterest board about health, and yet, you find yourself with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s in your hand late at night. There’s nothing quite like having the whole world tell you that you shouldn’t be eating gluten or carbs or fiber or delicious things.
Here’s the thing about healthy food: it tastes good. Only in the way that you feel good about eating it and your body feels pretty good after and you feel good because you get to tell everyone that you ate healthy. Here’s the thing about unhealthy food, though: it tastes good. In the way that it actually is delicious. If you’re honestly trying to convince me that using applesauce instead of butter in my cookie recipe will make healthier cookie that tastes equally as good you are delusional and your head should be checked.
That’s really it. If you feel like your healthy food tastes good, it might, but it probably doesn’t taste as good as unhealthy food.
We all need to get over ourselves.
